Rising Up

Just a quick note to say that we are alive and well and doing much, much better. It's been two weeks now that I've been feeling like we've broken through the culture shock and are beginning to feel somewhat normal. I know that many of you were "lifting us up" in regard to this and it has made all the difference, please don't stop!
I have much to share, but not the time right now to do so. I hope to be able to post more this week, but if not we have a week off coming up for the National Holiday and I know I can catch up then, if not sooner.

And for those of you that have emailed recently I really appreciated hearing from each of you and will respond at some point this week.

Zai Jian for now!

So nice to see a positive post Christi. Sounds like things are finally looking up. I have been checking daily and hoping to see that. Just keep on following you-know-Who's (I still can't figure out if we have to choose our words carefully or not but you know Who I mean :) ) direction for your life. Just look at how very far He has brought you in the past few years! No matter what choices you make for yourself and Abbey, they will be the right ones. We are all in awe of you and what you have already done!

Keeping you both in my 'thoughts'.

I'm really glad that I found your blog. Our daughter, Kailee is from Guangxi Province and you posted on my blog in 2007. We wish you and Abbey the best and will keep you in our prayers. Keep the blogs coming. We are really enjoying your blog.

So excited to read about your breakthrough! Our meeting leader shared several weeks ago that The One wants to breakthrough our breakdowns so that we can break-out into the futures designed for us. What you shared reminded me of that. Love you and will continue "agreeing" with all your petitions!

Love,
Lindamir

So happy that you're settling in. You know what's best for you and Abbey, of course, but I love that you're sharing such an incredible adventure with her right now.

Maybe we can get together and Skype -- possibly over the weekend?

Hi to Miss Abbey and hugs and kisses from her friend Katie!

So happy to hear that you are doing better. Liliana and I look in on your blog often, with her finger pointing to the screen each time Abbey's picture pops up...at which time she proclaims, "China friend!" We are praying for you so far away.

I have not been checking your blog as much as I should. Very glad to hear that you have broken through with your Dad's help to the other side of culture shock & things are beginning to feel like home in China! You can do all things with the help of your Dad! Your Dad's plans for you & Abbey will win out over everything else--just remember this! Lots of Kisses, Hugs and Love & Tons of Other Stuff! I love you both!
